Executive Director

Vanessa Hannah has been working with the Valley View Foundation since 2005. Initially, she served as a volunteer on the Outreach Committee and later became a member of the Board of Directors. When the Board of Directors determined the organization required an Executive Director to carry Valley View's mission forward with more community engagement and programming, Vanessa was a logical candidate for the job given her background and passion for Valley View. Currently, as Executive Director Vanessa leads efforts to continually improve the outdoor experiences and opportunities Valley View offers the community. On-site projects, marketing, community outreach and fundraising are all areas of responsibility and focus for Vanessa.

Prior to her work with Valley View, Vanessa was involved in experiential education and performance management for eighteen years. She worked in both the public and private sector facilitating in the classroom, developing programs, and training fellow instructors. She worked in outdoor/experiential education as a high ropes course instructor and trainer with the Adventure Education Center in Columbus, Ohio for nine years. Vanessa moved to Cincinnati in 1993 and continued her work with Mercantile Stores University. As a consultant, she has worked with Anheuser-Busch, Fifth-Third Bank, Ford Motor Company, Honda of America, Ohio State College of Medicine, Sybase, Xerox and others.

Vanessa earned a Bachelor of Fine Arts from the Columbus College of Art and Design in retail advertising and a secondary degree in advertising design. She and her husband Paul and their three children live in Milford near Valley View.
